Parking Lot Update!

Thanks to your generosity, we will soon be seeing some parking lot improvements! We have hired a new contractor, and he's starting to move some equipment onto the property! He will begin by completing the work in the culverts on Highway 306. After the culverts are completed, he will begin the process of grading the parking lot, and preparing it for the slag aggregate. If it doesn't rain too much, we hope to be finished before the end of the year! We'll keep you posted!

I love what one donor wrote in a sweet note: "God bless this parking lot! May it draw people to the church and to The Savior! May every inch of the lot touch a life!"

Deacon Nomination Period

The Deacon Nomination Period is November 17 - December 1, 2013. All active voting members are invited to nominate a candidate for Deacon. The election of a new Deacon will be at the Annual Business Meeting in the Spring of 2014. (Deacon Barney Dufrene will be rotating off the Board, having served his 3 year term.)

Parking Lot Update

What's the latest on the parking lot improvement?

1. We will hit our goal of raising $30,000 for parking lot improvements, thanks to the generosity of the Church Family of Life Fellowship!

2. The contractor we were going to work with, decided that he did not want the job.

3. We are working to secure a new contractor.

4. We are working to make sure that everything we do to improve the parking lot lines up with State Highway guidelines, and Parish specs.
